Free Watercolor Printables for Summer (Farmhouse Wall Art)
If you’re looking for beautiful and cheap (i.e. free) summer decor, here are some beautiful watercolor free printables! Beautiful in fruit and tropical leaf designs, it’s just what your home needs for some stylish summer decor! Perfect for farmhouse or modern farmhouse decor!
A Little Unexpected Summer Decor Refresh
I didn’t have any real intentions of switching over spring decor to summer.
It started with the porch, that I really had been wanting to paint. I finally got motivated to do it (a difficult feat with 5-year-old twin boys home during quarantine), so all of my spring porch decor was taken down, while I went to work. Instead of putting it all back, I decided to go with a new decor set up for a summer porch.
Well, that got me inspired and I wanted to carry that same clean, modern farmhouse theme inside the house as well. I had a lot of ideas, not a lot of money to spend, and as always, along with my other go-to ideas for a cheap decorating, I went to work creating printables. I did look online and on Pinterest first, to see if there were any that I liked, but to be honest, they were all a little too cutesy or too country for my taste. I wanted a little more simple, modern farmhouse look.
So, I set to work creating my own.
Watercolor Free Printables for Summer (Wall Art in Farmhouse Style)
I went back and forth with my “team” (my sister and 2 friends I impose upon, lol), and after a little consulting (i.e. texting), here’s what I landed on.
I didn’t want to do all fruit, and I didn’t think I needed to because most people won’t display all 4 together. Maybe 3, like I did for my tier tray.
Also, even though the palm leaf isn’t fruit, it’s still tropical, which goes along with the theme. I decided to put the palm leaf with the ‘dictionary summer’ sign because I figured that one might be displayed on its own.
And, honestly, I have some palm decor in my house, so I really wanted a print that would work with my own decor. So, I was a little biased on that one.
You might also notice in the picture above that there’s a framed palm leaf with a quote on it (top right cube). It’s the same quote that’s on the pineapple sign, and as I said, since I have the palm leaf decor going on, I wanted a sign that would coordinate with that.
So, I took the line of poetry from the pineapple sign, “In summer, the song sings itself” from William Carlos Williams”(I’m a former high school English teacher, so anywhere I can sneak in some poetry, I’m good for it), and designed this bonus one with purely selfish motives.
PS – I was contemplating buying a framed palm leaf picture at Five Below, but I’m glad I waited and just made my own.
All in all, I think they are the perfect summer touches without being over the top or too cliche.

When you download these prints, you’ll get these 4 designs in 3×3″, which can fit in small tier tray frames (which are just Hobby Lobby Easter signs that I stick the printables in, as seen in my picture).
You’ll also get on that prints on for an 8″x8″ square (which I have displayed) or it will also work in an 8″x10″. They are delivered in a PDF where you can print out the ones you want or all of them.
