Every Neighborhood Has a Full-Size Candy Bar House
Growing up, we all knew which house it was. Somebody’s grandmother two streets over who dropped a whole Hershey’s bar into your pillowcase instead of a fun size, and the entire neighborhood knew you walked the extra block for that house.
Now that my own boys are the ones answering our door, I think about Mrs. Kenna.
My sons lost interest in trick-or-treating pretty young, but they still love handing candy out. And a few years ago, it hit me that this one night is the only night of the year that dozens of neighborhood kids walk down my driveway and come to my front door.
That felt like too big an opportunity to hand over a piece of candy and let that be the end of it. Especially from a Christian perspective.
So I started making things to include with the candy. Last year it was Christian Halloween treat tags with Bible verses, which we tucked into goodie bags.
This year I wanted something with a little more weight to it — literally, ha ha. These free printable Christian Halloween candy bar wrappers go over a standard Hershey’s bar. And instead of just a logo, the kids get a Squishmallow-esque smile and words of truth their hearts need to hear (even if they don’t know it): All Wrapped Up in God’s Love.
Turns out you can be the full-size candy bar house and give a message that could change their lives.

Each wrapper is covered in a sweet candy corn pattern with happy little fall characters — pumpkins, s’mores, and maple leaves, all with tiny smiley faces. Nothing spooky, nothing scary, nothing that leans into the darker side of Halloween.
The message on the front reads All Wrapped Up in God’s Love, which is such a simple thing to hand a child, and such a big thing for them to hear.
I love these for door-to-door trick-or-treaters, but honestly they shine just as bright at a church trunk or treat, where a full-size wrapped bar becomes the thing kids talk about on the way home.
Why I Made These Non-Scary Halloween Candy Wrappers
As a homeschool mom, I’m always hunting for easy ways to fold include our faith into the stuff we’re already doing. We were already buying candy. We were already opening the door. This just gives us the chance to take a day where darkness is celebrating and shine the light.
The other reason I made these? I wanted something that works for every family, no matter where they land on Halloween.
Some of you go all out with costumes. Some of you skip October 31st entirely and head to the harvest party at church. Some of you are somewhere in the middle. Because the artwork here is fall-themed rather than Halloween-themed — think Squishmallows, not skeletons — these wrappers work at a trunk or treat, a fall festival, a Sunday school class party, or your own front porch.
No costume required. No spooky imagery to explain to a three-year-old.
And every kid should get the chance to know they are loved by God.

Here’s exactly what you’re downloading:
- 1 printable PDF, 2 pages, with 2 wrapper designs
- Wrappers print 2 per page on standard U.S. Letter paper (8.5″ x 11″)
- Each wrapper measures 5.5″ x 6.25″ — sized for a full-size Hershey’s chocolate bar (1.55 oz)
- Two options included: one version with a blank “From:” line so kids can sign their name, and one left completely blank, just to hand out as needed.

That “From” line is my favorite detail. My boys sign their own, and it turns a candy handout into something a little more personal.
How to Print and Wrap Your Candy Bars
This takes about ten minutes for a whole batch:
- Print the PDF at home on regular white copy paper. Make sure your printer is set to “Actual Size” or 100% — if it defaults to “Fit to Page,” your wrappers will come out slightly too small to wrap all the way around.
- Cut each wrapper along the printed cut lines.
- Wrap the paper around a full-size Hershey’s bar and secure the seam with a small piece of Scotch tape or a glue stick.
Regular copy paper actually works better than cardstock here, because it bends smoothly around the bar; cardstock is usually too stiff (and more expensive!).
If you’re doing a big batch for a church event, set up an assembly line: one person cuts, one person wraps, one person tapes. A hundred bars go faster than you’d think.
