Free Printable Christian Halloween Treat Tags with Bible Verses
Are you looking for a super-cute, faith-filled way to hand out Halloween treats this year? These free printable Christian Halloween tags have adorable, fall-friendly images with encouraging Bible verses — perfect for trunk or treat, Sunday school parties, or classroom treat bags.
Halloween: An Opportunity to Let Our Lights Shine
Growing up, my family did (and didn’t do) all the Halloween things. Before my parents became Christians, we went trick-or-treating with all the neighborhood kids (with those horrible plastic masks with the eye holes in front and the rubber bands around the back. I mean could a costume be any worse?!?)
Then, we didn’t celebrate it at all. We didn’t answer the door. We went to the church harvest parties dressed as Bible characters.
When I got a little older, my parents leveled out and we began to pass out candy with Christian tracts (anyone remember those storybook type ones?)
Now that I have my own kids, it’s made me rethink Halloween. My sons know I don’t love this holiday that celebrates death and darkness. They did go trick-or-treating for a few years, but they actually lost interest in it at a very young age!
Instead, they really like giving out candy to the neighborhood kids – but I didn’t want to let this opportunity go by without sharing God’s love with those dear kiddos.
Last year, I began to hand out more than just candy — I included these free printable Christian Halloween treat tags, and I’m so excited to finally share them with you!

Each tag pairs a sweet, non-scary fall image (think pumpkins, acorns, maple leaves, and s’mores) with an encouraging Bible verse or message reminding kids just how loved they are by God.
I love these tags for not just door-to-door trick-or-treaters, but for a trunk or treat event, filling Sunday school goodie bags, or a fun surprise in your own kids’ lunchboxes this season.
These tags are such an easy way to spread a little joy — and a big reminder of God’s love — right alongside the candy.

Why I Created These Free Printable Halloween Tags
As a homeschool mom, I’m always looking for small, simple ways to weave faith into everything we do. These tags started as something I made for my own boys to give out, and they turned out to be such a hit. I knew other families, Sunday school teachers, and trunk or treat volunteers would love them too.
They’re not spooky, scary, or Halloween-centric in imagery — just smiley, happy fall pictures (think: Squishmallows) paired with Scripture-based messages about God’s love, along with the Bible references.

That makes them a great fit no matter what your family does or doesn’t do with Halloween.
