A Balanced Caraway Cookware Review from a Frugal Mom
If you’re in the market for a quality cookware set that is non-stick and SAFE to use, keep reading. Caraway is a dream, and I’m excited to tell you all about it!
Longevity of Cookware Stretched to Its Limits
Y’all. I got married in 2010 and received an amazing cookware set as a gift.
And I haven’t replaced it since.
Y’all. It was time.
When I was approached by Caraway to review their cookware and bakeware, it was a no-brainer.
It did not disappoint.
Disclosures: I received complimentary pieces of Caraway Cookware and Bakeware in exchange for an honest review. This post also contains affiliate links. See Disclosures for more details.
Highlights of Caraway Bakeware and Cookware
There is a lot to like about Caraway, if you’re looking for a healthy option for cookware.
Healthier Materials
First, the materials are non-toxic mineral base that won’t leak toxins into your food. Secondly, it releases 60% less CO2 produced, compared to other traditional non-stick coatings.
The cookware is made of a high-quality ceramic-coated aluminum, free of PTFE (such as Teflon®), lead, cadmium, and other toxic materials that can make their way into your food.
As a mom who is cooking for my littles, this is a big deal. Soooo many things in our environment are toxic and carcinogenic. It truly is a relief to know these dangerous materials are not leaking into our food.
Easier Cleaning
The cleaning process is a cinch. A quick run with soap and water is all you need. It also doesn’t require as much butter or oil for cooking, which makes for faster clean up as well.
To be honest, sometimes I just gave the pans a good wipe, and that was all I needed to do! Handwashing is recommended, but it’s super-fast and easy.
Fair & Eco-Friendly Business
Caraway is a company that supports BSCI and SMETA manufacturing partners: employees are safe, paid fairly, given benefits, and work regulated hours.
The packaging materials are not only classy, but they are made of shipped in recycled cardboard with zero plastic bags, low impact print dyes, and 100% biodegradable cork trivets.
One Caveat
I’m typically a frugal homemaker, so if there’s anything that might be a deterrent, cost would be it. This is definitely a higher price point that I’m used to. However, there are many amazing and legitimate features that contribute to it being costlier than some other brands.
When it comes to healthier food and materials, there typically are higher costs in any product category, but health is something that I consider an investment. You get what you pay for, and Caraway often runs amazing sales, so that helps to offset.
Personally, I think it’s a well-worth-it splurge for yourself (and honestly, when you’re talking about your family’s health, I’m not sure that ‘splurge’ is even the right word). And it truly is a thoughtful, high-end, and classy bridal shower or wedding gift.
Caraway Cookware and Bakeware in Action
I had a chance to try out the 10.5″ fry pan, the 18×13″ baking sheet, and the 9″ circle pan.
Packaging
First, let me show you how pretty the packaging is. If you ever wanted to send this for a bridal shower or wedding gift, it presents lovely.
Each piece also comes with an adorable cork trivet, which is a nice bonus!
Baking Sheet
I used the baking sheet to make some Memorial Day themed cookies. I sprayed the sheet before I read that you didn’t need to, but it didn’t seem any worse for wear.
The cookies cooked evenly, even in my wonky oven, and they just about slid right out off the sheet. I pulled them up by hand, without even needing a spatula!

Fry Pan
I used the fry pan to cook up some basic eggs for my breakfast, as that is what I use my fry pans for the most.
A little bit of butter, and the egg slid right out of the pan.
Circle Pan
Lastly, I used the circle pan to bake some cinnamon rolls. This time, I rubbed a little coconut oil in the pan before cooking the buns.
Once they were done, I was able to pull them out by hand, no spatula needed.

Pleasurable Cooking Experience
As someone who doesn’t always love being in the kitchen, there is something to be said for using non-stick, non-toxic cookware. It’s kind of like the same feeling as when you are prepping food for a healthy meal: it feels good to know you are doing something that is good for the health of you and your family.
That was the exact feeling I got with using Caraway cookware and bakeware. I loved knowing that whatever I’m preparing is safe for my family.
