If you’ve been strawberry picking and you have extra strawberries on hand, or if you just love strawberries and want to take advantage of them when they’re in season, you’re in luck! Here’s a delicious strawberry recipe that is clean and good for you! This loaded strawberry frozen yogurt bark is filled with juicy strawberries, granola, dark chocolate chips, and shredded granola! It will curb your hunger during those snacky moments with a delicious, healthy treat!
June = Summer = Strawberries
Once June rolls around, it’s all about the strawberries. When I was a kid, I remember going strawberry picking with our church ( – and hurling strawberries across the field in our own strawberry wars. #kids). Right before we moved from Long Island, I took my then 3-year-old sons strawberry picking in the very same patches I went to as a kid.
Now in Tennessee, that is on our future to-do list. We didn’t get to it this year because, well, #coronaruinedeverything, but we are hoping to get to it next summer.
Whether you’ve been strawberry picking or not, I’m sure you’ve noticed the great prices on strawberries this time of year, since they are in season. As such, I really like to take advantage of all the strawberry things I can make this season. And if you’ve been strawberry and had kids involved, it’s like you have more strawberries than you know what to do with.
Well, here’s some help.
Clean, Loaded Strawberry Bark: The Secret Weapon to Fight the Witching Hour Snacking
When it comes to healthy eating, one of my downfalls is the snacking. Especially right before dinner. That 3:30 – 5:00 zone that is the adult version of the witching hour. I’m looking for All. The. Snacks. Even though I’ll be sitting down to dinner in just a few short minutes.
And that’s where this strawberry bark comes in. This is the perfect guilt-free, noshing snack. It’s sweet enough to satisfy a sweet tooth. It’s filling enough to hold you over until due (thank you, high protein Greek yogurt). It’s bite-sized so you can nosh a little here, a little there. And it’s made with clean ingredients, so it’s filled with good-for-you healthy nutrition.
The Perfect Snack for Any Time
I especially love this snack after a long hot day… like when you just get home from the beach, and you just want to eat everything in sight. Or when you get back from a long bike ride or walk.
That moment when you just want to chow down – this is the perfect solution to keep you from eating all the crappy food.
It’s also great for an after-school snack or something to give the kids when friends come over. It’s refreshing but not full of all the sugar of ice cream.
Pretty much – the perfect snack.
Variations for Putting Together Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bark
In this recipe, I’ve added strawberries, granola, dark chocolate chips, and unsweetened shredded coconut to the Greek yogurt because I like a lot going on in my food and -well, the more the merrier. I like to use my own homemade granola, and this is my favorite go-to recipe I make all the time.
There are lots of ways to make frozen yogurt bark, and you certainly can customize it to your personal likings. There is no right or wrong way to do it, and you can’t ruin it by leaving something out or adding something else in.
You can use whatever flavor yogurt you like – full fat, non-fat, whatever. I recommend Greek yogurt – the consistency is just better for freezing. You can even use plain Greek yogurt if you want, and if you want to sweeten it up, just add pure maple syrup and vanilla extract.
Full-fat Greek yogurt is recommended – it freezes just a little creamier than non-fat. Non-fat tends to crystalize and become a little icier.
You obviously can change-up the add-ins as well. Blueberries, bananas, raspberries would all be delicious. Raisins and craisins would be amazing as well. You can drizzle melted peanut butter or dark chocolate over it. You can add in walnuts or cashews. You can even make it fun with M & Ms, pretzel pieces, cookie crumbles, or sprinkles.
Really, anything you can sprinkle on top and dream up would be fine!
There are no real tricks to making this, beyond the general instructions. I used a baking sheet from Dollar Tree – maybe a smidge smaller than standard, and it was the perfect size.
And if you have more strawberries you need to use up in fun and delicious recipes, here are 30 Strawberry Desserts and Treats you can make – which even includes some breakfast recipes as well!
OK, let’s get on to the delicious strawberry bark!
***You can use any flavor Greek yogurt you like - with or without fat. If you use plain and want to brighten it up, add 1/4 cup pure maple syrup or honey and a tsp of vanilla extract to the yogurt before spreading on the baking sheet.

How do you think it would be if you were to blend up the strawberries?
I think you could absolutely do that and either drizzle it over the top or mix in with your yogurt, if that’s what you prefer. I like my bark a little chunky, lol, so I kept them chopped!
