If you need some inspiration for decorating your home for fall, we’ve got you covered! Inside you’ll find beautiful ideas for decorating your mantel and fireplace area, your outdoor front porch, and your kitchen and dining area.
I have been waiting for this for close to a year and a half. If you’ve been following along here, you might remember that we were somewhat displaced from our home last spring because of an oil burner puff-back. We had to pack up our entire house to get it renovated, and we never really unpacked because we put the house up for sale shortly after. Well, we had lots of drama selling the house because of town permits, but we just closed in August and left NY for Tennessee. So what have I been waiting for? To decorate for fall! I missed it last year, and we just got into our house in the beginning of September. And guys, we have a fire place! I have a mantel to decorate! I’m totally over the moon to make this happen, and today I’m showing all the amazing ideas I’ve gathered up.
I found a bunch of DIY ideas that I posted earlier this week, but maybe DIY isn’t your thing and you’d rather just run to Hobby Lobby or Michael’s (that’s probably more up my alley, truth be told!). If so, today is for you! The fall inspirations today are stunning. There will be no shortage of ideas for you to choose from to get your home fall-ready.
As you’ll notice, neutral-colored fall decor is still a big trend this season. Along with the traditional orange, golds, and browns, you’ll see lots of whites, light blues and light greens. I really am loving that softer take on fall decor! That works especially well if your home decor is lighter, and you wanted to blend with that.
There are also lots of fresh greens included in many of the displays. We usually think of the crunchy leaves and cornstalks in fall displays, but greenery that is still alive also works amazingly and looks fresh and vibrant.
There are so many ways to modify these designs to your personal taste and the space you have available. If you don’t have a mantel, for example, any table display area would work just as well. Let these inspirations be your starting point, and see where you end up!
For the sake of ease, I’ve separated them into 3 categories: Mantels and Fireplaces, Outdoor Porches, and Kitchen and Dining Areas.
I won’t keep you waiting any longer! Go take a look!
