Rustic Fall Decor Throughout the House
Today, it’s going to be a lot of “show versus tell.” I’ll be sharing my fall home for 2021, without a lot of reading and just a lot of pictures! Full disclosure: I’m in Florida with my family and trying to get this post published pretty quickly, so if you don’t like reading, this will work to your benefit!
I’m going to do a quick narration, but feel free to comment if you have any questions! As always, I decorate on a budget, with lots of DIYs and upcycles thrown in! I created a post on how to decorate your house for fall on a budget, and I put just about all of those tips to use right in my own home.
As for inexpensive decor, I love these unique fall items from Etsy sellers. I also shop thrift stores, Target Bullseye, and Hobby Lobby sales for the rest with a little Home Goods/TJ Maxx/Marshalls thrown in as well. I do a ton of shopping in my own home, upcycling/repurposing what I already have.
For instance, last year, I hand-painted a TON of pumpkins navy and copper instead of buying more (nobody was selling those colors last year anyway). This year, I repainted ALL of them in my new color scheme. Saved a boatload of money, and I was able to create unique colors that were exactly what I wanted.
The Inspiration that Started It All
Last year, when I was shopping fall clearance, I came across a single fall stem that I just fell in love with. Michaels only had one, but right away, I was convinced this was going to be my color inspiration for 2021: sage green, sweet potato and mustard. Last year in 2020, I did a copper and navy theme for fall, and I knew I wanted to changes it up for 2021.

Farmhouse Fall Home Tour 2021
We aren’t super-fancy people. That’s why I love rustic decor – imperfections add to the character and are all part of the look. If you feel like you have an average home, not like all the glamor-home-decor-influencers, that’s totally OK! It should be a space you love, and it DOES NOT need to look like anyone else’s home! We all do the best with what we have, right?
With that said, I have a ton of chaos at my house with twin 6 year old boys, but it’s a home we love and we are grateful to God for it!
Ok – so let me share our space with you. We will start with the porch and work our way in:
Fall Front Porch
Our porch is more of an alcove than an actual porch, but it’s one of my favorite spaces to decorate. I never move the sign on the left (a blessing from Numbers 6:24-26) and the vintage window with the wreaths (I usually just adapt the wreaths to each season). This year, I added a darker jute rug to warm it up and did my fall thing.
Fall Entryway
We don’t really have an entry way, but this is the little area once you walk in the front door. Just a little fall bling! That floral ribbon wall hanging is an easy DIY that you can check out here!
Fall Living Room Wall Shelves and Tables
Our living room is typically filled with Hot Wheels, Legos and all kinds of little boy entertainment, so you won’t really see a full room view, lol. But I managed to shove the toys out of the way to snap a few pictures.
That rope coffee table basket tray is another super-easy DIY!

The shelf below was my ‘mantel’ before we had one built on the fireplace. Any long shelf do the trick for a mantel! (You can check out all the tips to style a mantel here!)
The neutral rag wreath above is also another super-easy DIY!
That mustard runner is actually a scarf from Target Bullseye! Don’t be afraid to go out of the box and use off-brand uses for items!
The trays you see in the above pictures were repurposed thrift store and Hobby Lobby clearance items! And don’t miss the little Hot Wheels sitting on the Hello Fall sign, lol. That one escaped me!
Fall Dining Table
This area is on the side of the living room. It’s a busy area – I don’t set it up like this every day because we use it for playing, homework, etc. – but every now and then, I try to pretty it up.
Fall Mantel and Fireplace Room
This is my favorite room. I sit here to do my quiet time in the morning, to pray, to escape the noise of the living room. We had no mantel when we bought the house, but my dad build this one for us. We white-washed the fireplace to brighten the room, and now, it’s one of my favorite spaces.

Fall Home: 2021 Edition
So there it is! Our fall house for 2021! It’s always a work in progress, I’m constantly changing things up, but there are so many ways to use what you have and just add in a few extra items!
