Recently, I’ve been incorporating simple creative hobbies into my Sunday Sabbath routine. I’ll put on worship music and work on a craft while my husband and boys are in the other room watching Nascar at full volume.

This spring bird craft was perfect for that kind of mellow creative outlet.

The project was easy enough to follow without intense concentration, which made it feel fun and enjoyable instead of mentally draining.

And the finished piece? Absolutely adorable. It works beautifully with cottagecore decor, farmhouse style, whimsical spring decorating, or even a more modern organic home aesthetic.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

Everything you need comes inside the kit. I mean, everything – even down to the tiny tubes of glue. And it’s packaged beautifully.

Everything that came in the box was clearly labeled and separated.

There’s a card in the box that has a QR code on the back so you can access the directions. The instructions are in both written and video form.

I love that both were included. Sometimes, I just needed to read it. But other times, when it was a little fuzzy to my brain, and I went to the video, which illustrated it perfectly.

THE CRAFT EXPERIENCE

The kit is designed with beginners in mind, and I definitely found it easy to use. The instructions were clear and simple to follow. Everything is spelled out – either written or in the video.

That made the entire process feel relaxing, non-intimidating, and stress-free.

The entire project took me roughly 30 minutes from start to finish. The trickiest part was making sure each part was aligned. You can see that some of mine weren’t exactly perfect but barely noticeable if you’re not looking for it.

What really surprised me was how much I loved these cute little birds! To be honest, I never really gave much thought to include birds in my spring decor – but I really feel like I missed the boat on that!

It has such a beautiful balance of whimsy and elegance — exactly the kind of cheerful feeling that is perfect for spring decor.

To me, it has a certain old-school Pottery Barn vibe that I always loved.

My one tip if you make this to make sure you handle some of those more delicate pieces carefully. The legs and those white flower embellishments just need a little extra care.

THE FINISHED PIECE

Arranged on my mantel, these bird signs added such a brightness to my typically neutral spring decor. I wasn’t sure what I’d think about those pops of color that are not usually my go-to color palette, but I loved how lively it felt.
