I made all 5 Crafted by Concord & 9th Spring Craft kits — here’s my review

CRAFT KITS – ARE THEY FOR YOU?

A few weeks ago, I got my hands on the complete In Bloom collection from Crafted by Concord & 9th — all five Crafted Kits in one go.
I made them one by one and shared a post about each (linked below), but if you missed any of those or you’re here trying to figure out which kit to start with – or just want an honest review, this roundup is for you.
Quick background: these are beginner-friendly, everything-included craft kits designed for making handmade home decor. No tools required, no supply runs, no figuring out what goes with what — you just open the box and make the thing. Every single thing is prepped for you.
As someone who has experience with crafts but doesn’t always have the time or energy to start from scratch, this idea was very appealing to me. Many times, crafting is a Sabbath activity I use to relax and unwind, so if it ends up being tiring or aggravating, it defeats the purpose (for me).
I was curious whether kits like this were actually as low-stress as advertised. Spoiler: [they really are].
Today, I’m going to give you a snapshot of each kit, from easiest to hardest. I’ll also link to the full post to each individual craft, if you want more details.

IN BLOOM COMPLETE COLLECTION REVIEW
1| ‘Hello Spring’ Sign
This craft was the easiest and quickest of all of them. If you’re a beginner or want to do a craft with your kids or grandkids, this is a great choice!
Time: About 20 minutes
2| Birds of a Feather Signs
In this kit, you have to assemble 3 different birds. It’s pretty easy to do, almost like completing a puzzle. Once assembled, they are glued to the signs. This one is a little more advanced than Hello Spring, but still a very simple and quick project!
It’s great if you want 3 coordinated pieces of wall art in one kit!
Time: About 30 minutes
3| Bird and Bloom Paper Garland
In this kit, you need to assemble birds, similar to Birds of a Feather. However, you also need to assemble flowers and then string them all together for your garland.
While this is still a fairly short craft (about 30 minutes), you especially need to pay attention when attaching them to the string, to make sure the birds are facing the right way!
Time: About 40 minutes
4| In Bloom Paper Wreath
I would say this is the beginning of the more complex kits. This craft comes together very easily (and it doesn’t require the same precision as assembling the birds to the pattern), but there are more pieces (leaf bunches) involved compared to the other kits.
Still easy and doesn’t require a lot of concentration – though this one does take a little more time.
Time: About 1.5 hours
5| Gathered Blooms Paper Flower and Vase Bouquet
This craft definitely was the most complex of all 5 and took the most time. The vase and the flowers are 2 separate parts, and the flowers themselves had several parts.
I would recommend this one for someone who likes something that is a little bit challenging but doesn’t want the hassle of all the gathering and prep of the materials.
Time: About 2 hours
WHICH ONE SHOULD I START WITH?
If you’re only getting one kit, my favorite was the Bird and Bloom garland. It has a fanciful touch, is simple but not ridiculously easy, and adds a fun burst of color without being the focal point of your decor.
If you want something quick, hands down – Hello Spring sign. You’re literally just gluing pom poms inside the letter carve-out. Very zen and mindless if that’s what you’re looking for in a craft. Great to include kids, too.
If you want the biggest visual payoff, I recommend the Gathered Blooms flower and vase bouquet. At a quick glance, it’s hard to tell those flowers are paper! And I think the complexity of the flowers are very impressive for a paper craft.
If you want something that is seasonally versatile, go with the In Bloom paper wreath. It’s fairly neutral, and it can blend in with summer, fall, Christmas, and winter decor very easily!
If you want the most bang for the buck, go for Birds of a Feather. Three signs, one craft kit! Great for a gallery wall!
WHO THESE KITS ARE GREAT FOR
I do think craft kits are a great option! I recommend these for someone who:
- Enjoys creative hobbies and hands-on projects
- Prefers crafts that are prepped and ready to start right away
- Appreciates the convenience of having everything included in one box (and will spend a little money for that)
- Is planning a craft night with friends & wants things simplified
- Would love giving a complete DIY kit as a gift for another craft lover
- Loves elevated and unique decor, but wants to DIY it herself
