Still the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave

Summer is one of my favorite times of the year for many reasons, but I especially love the patriotic holidays – Memorial Day and 4th of July. I’m all about the red, white, and blue treats, the patriotic decorations, the cookouts, and fireworks. When I think of the thousands upon thousands of Americans who sacrificed their lives for the sake of freedom, I’m truly humbled. 

I’ve seen a surge renewed patriotism, especially with America’s 250th birthday approaching. I don’t often get political here in this space, but I’ll never shy away from saying that we are blessed by God to be Americans, and I believe God has given us a unique position in the world to depend freedom and human rights.

America is not perfect, and there’s plenty of corruption to go around. But if America was not the super-power she is, there would be a vacuum, which would open the door for a less ethical country to fill that spot. Which would be bad for everyone.

So, while not perfect, I think America (apart from God, of course) is our planet’s best chance at protecting liberty and freedom.

So let’s celebrate our great country proudly, especially this year! Happy 250th Birthday to the U.S.A.!

 

Best Patriotic Shirts for the Whole Family

As you look through the different T-shirts below, I feel confident that you’ll find choices that you love for every member of your family. I did a lot of researching, and the best and most unique  – and cheapest! – designs I found were on Etsy!

Many of these shirts are on sale, have exclusive offers, and many of the shops offer free shipping as well! My thought is that as Memorial Day and 4th of July get closer, these shops may sell out, so order early!

 

Aren’t there so many great choices? It was honestly so hard to come up with a favorite patriotic t-shirt! These are definitely choices that I would wear all year long – there’s no reason to limit them to just Memorial Day, 4th of July or the summer.
