Summer: Quintessentially American

One of my favorite things about summer is the American holidays… Memorial Day, 4th of July. BBQs, pool parties, backyard entertaining…

They already feel American, but when you add in that we are actually celebrating America, well, to be redundant, it doesn’t get any more American than that.

Patriotic Crafts as Home Decor

Patriotic red, white, and blue decorations fill in some of the space between spring and fall decor. And the Americana aesthetic can absolutely stand all on its own.

Even if you have summer decorations for your home, there’s still plenty of time to display them after the 4th of July.

Or if your spring home decor goes the distance until fall, patriotic decorations are a fun way to change things up for a solid 6 weeks period.

Or, even if you just want to pull them out of Memorial Day or 4th of July to celebrate, that’s great too! It’s all fun.

Red, White & Blue DIY Projects: Easy for Adults & Kids

Here are 35+ patriotic DIY home decor pieces. These are easy craft projects that will bring a little Americana to your home or for your party.

Because they are decorations, they are mostly for (interesting to) adults, but honestly, some are easy enough to pull the kids into as well.

Take a look below and grab a few that catch your eye! You’ll be able to use them for both Memorial Day and the 4th of July – or either, if that suits you.

It’s also fun if you’re hosting a BBQ as well!

  2. Thank you for the ideas. I can’t believe the 4th of July is less than a month away. My one wish this year is that my mom won’t be able to come up. Can’t I celebrate my freedom and America’s freedom in peace just once?
