Easy & Budget-Friendly Pool Party Decoration Ideas
As much as I love putting together a fun party aesthetic, there’s no need to go all-out, unless you want to.
If that’s fun for you and won’t add unnecessary stress, then definitely go for it!
The pool is the primary activity for a pool party (hence the name, lol); it’s the main attraction of the event as is spending time with your people, so do what’s best for you to have a great time!
Before we get to the specific ideas in the roundup, here are a few things you can do if you’re looking to keep things simple and budget-friendly:
String Lights
Adding outdoor lights always making things a little more festive! Whip out your Christmas lights and string them up!
Balloons
Balloons are an easy and cheap way to decorate!
You can simply string them together to create balloon garlands or even make a balloon arch. You can even check out some of these party balloon ideas (this is a graduation party post, but a lot of the ideas can easily be used for a pool party!)

Fun & Simple Pool Party Activities
You really can be simple when it comes to planning a pool party game or activity. A few inner tubes, pool noodles, and pool floats are plenty of entertainment in and of themselves.
Diving pool toys that sink to the bottom of the pool for a little friendly competition is also an easy way to entertain!
Pool games like volleyball and water polo are also no-fuss entertainment!
Some water guns and super-soakers also provide plenty of entertainment as well!
If you have littles, a small inflatable pool just for them is a safe way to entertain them as well; you can also rope off the shallow end of the pool and include some fun pool toys just for them.
And for those who don’t enjoy the going in the pool, leaving out water guns or hula hoops on the grass provides some extra entertainment!
