Are you looking for some fun ways to decorate your front porch for Easter? That are easy and inexpensive, too? Take a look at a rustic themed Easter porch! I’m sharing what I did as well as the best to incorporate budget-friendly decor (a lot of which can work for spring, too!)

Easter Porch Holiday Cheer

When it comes to Easter decor, I admit I’m half-in-half-out. Some year, I’ll just stick with spring decor and throw in an Easter sign here or there.

Other years, I got full on with an Easter theme, especially if it falls early in spring in March.

And other years, it’s about an equal mix of both.

This year, I decided I wanted to create an Easter themed front porch – and honestly, it was easier than I anticipated. I love the idea of having Easter front and center in the front yard, even if I don’t do a whole lot inside the house.

It’s a great place to set up holiday decor without overwhelming a space!

Let me share how I set up my porch.

My Easter Porch Decorating Philosophy

There are a lot of ways you can go when it comes to your outdoor space on the porch. It really depends on the layout, whether you have a small porch or a large one, your personal style, and what you have available.

I’m always a fan of budget-friendly Easter decorating ideas (see how I did it here!), so I generally try to repurpose what I have and use lots of spring decor to offset the Easter decor.

The color scheme of most of my spring decor is soft pastel colors as opposed to bright colors, so that’s what I went with for my porch.

And for my personal style, I generally stay away from ‘cutesy’ decor and try to keep it as elegant and classy as possible.

I don’t always succeed – and that doesn’t have to be your goal – but that’s the idea I had in my head. Before you start, you want to have some kind of vision for what you want your porch to look like.

Appealing to kids? Fun and whimsical? Rustic garden charm? Traditional? Possibilities are endless, but there’s no wrong choice! Do what you love!

Porch Easter Decor Ideas on a Budget

There are several ways that you can decorate your porch for Easter without investing a ton of cash. Let’s face it – Easter is a relatively short season, so you don’t want to spend a lot on decor you can only use for a few weeks.

Repurpose Decor You Already Have

There are lots of inexpensive decor you can use and/or repurpose for your porch – muted or colorful eggs, grapevine wreaths, Easter baskets, rain boots, a spring outdoor rug, etc.

Use Spring Decor Accessories

Incorporating your standard spring porch decor – such as spring flowers or spring wreath – is a great way to offset spending a lot of money on outdoor Easter decorations.

Inexpensive Easter DIY Crafts

You can also DIY projects a lot of Easter decorations and crafts such as an egg wreath or an Easter tree. I created this wall hanging out of an Easter kitchen towel, and this would work so well on porch wall, too!

You can even use free printable Easter tags as decor!

Include Free Decor

If you have daffodils in your yard or branches of forsythias, dogwoods, cherry blossoms, pussy willow branches, or even cherry weeping willow trees, all of them would look amazing on an Easter porch.

Fresh flowers straight from nature are one of my favorite ways to decorate!

You can also gather dead branches, put them in a vase and hang some upcycled plastic eggs on them for a cute Easter tree!

Bargain Easter Decor

Some of my favorite decor pieces for Easter are from the Target Dollar Spot (well, more like $5 spot), Dollar Tree and Dollar Tree Plus, and Hobby Lobby sales! Walmart also have very cute Easter decor as well.

 

Easter Front Porch Tour

Let me walk you through how I decorated my front porch for Easter. It’s a little on the small side, but I tried to use the space I had purposefully.

Because my porch is white, I tried to add simple pops of color where I could, without too many different colors creating confusion. There are some soft pastels with a base of yellow and varying green colors.

It took a few versions, but this is what I came up with.

Walls and Door

You always want to use height and depth if you have it (this post here has all the pro-tips for decorating porches!).

For the door, I used a simple green wreath with yellow and white flowers that I purchased a few years ago from Marshalls.

It’s one of my favorites and it works for spring as well as Easter, so I keep that one up pretty much through the summer and even the fall, some years!

The Easter Blessing sign is from the Dollar Tree Plus section – for $3! I love the rustic feel and the greens that coordinated with my wreath.

The old vintage window with the hoop wreaths stays up all year – I just swap out the embellishments. Those flowers are clip-ons that I purchased from Dollar Tree last year! I love how full and colorful they are!

And here are all 3 together, so you can see how it looks in one view.

Below the sign and window, there is an Adirondack chair that was a Facebook Marketplace purchase that I spray-painted a soft tan.

I like it on the porch because it takes up a lot of real estate, so I don’t need to worry about decorating such a large area with lots of little things.

It’s also a practical spot I can enjoy the fresh spring air while my sons are playing outside!

I just add coordinating pillows for the spring season and keep them out for Easter and through summer.

Easter Vignettes

For the base of the porch, I like to add crates and plant stands to vary height and depth, providing a little more interest.

Here is the view on the right side, right in front of the Adirondack chair.

I use this rustic lantern for pretty much every season.

I added in a mini stool from Hobby Lobby with an Easter floral arrangement, which is one of my favorite Easter floral DIYs this year. Next to it, I added another easy DIY vase with some vibrant green and white faux flowers for some brighter (but not obnoxious) color.

 

The jar is a repurposed pickle jar. Then, I placed a toilet paper roll on the inside as a place for the stems and so I wouldn’t need to add in so many eggs (another money saver!)

The eggs are from Hobby Lobby and the stems are from Dollar Tree! (The ribbon actually came on the bag of eggs, and I thought it was pretty, so I just reused it!)

Next to the lantern, I added a crate to add some height and to anchor the vignette together.

The tinted mason jar added the pop of color the space needed along with the vase (another easy DIY) and the green and white faux flowers.

I love the rustic terra cotta flower pots (another Dollar Tree upcycle) with moss rocks inside for a rustic touch! The polka dotted fabric carrots (from Walmart) are the perfect addition to the vignette.

Now let’s move on to the left side.

On the opposite side, I used another crate and plant stand to add height again.

I changed this area a few times, so you’ll see that I included a vase with spring blooms on the far left in one version.

And then I used a colorful tree with fake eggs for another. I get a little indecisive, lol.

 

Next to the tree I added a little Easter display with a bunny and more fabric carrots, this time covered in gingham (from Walmart).

For a burst of spring colors, I added the He is Risen sign (from Hobby Lobby), which is perfect as Easter Sunday is approaching.

Behind the sign on the stand in a minimalist Easter egg tree I purchased at Target probably 5 years ago! Or it might be the egg tree with the burlap, depending on which version! lol

Taken all together, the porch incorporates many of the bargain Easter ideas I listed above!

For me, the overall effect is a warm, inviting, rustic Easter porch, which hopefully adds to my home’s curb appeal until the real spring and summer flowers bloom! Until then, faux plants are just fine!
