Easter Decor: A Little Goes a Long Way
I haven’t always been once to decorate a lot for Easter, but one of my favorite ways is to add in an Easter display is on my front porch.
Generally, the inside of my house is set up for spring, but a few Easter accents added here and there. This really helps me stick with budget-friendly Easter decorating practices.
I tend to follow the same decorating concept for my porch.
Full-on Easter feels like too much for me personally, but since there’s such an overlap with spring and Easter decor, it makes more sense to me to add in a few Easter pieces in small bursts.

What Kind of Decor Can You Use for Both Spring AND Easter?
As I said, I think there are so many options for decor that you can use for Easter but keep out both before and after (depending on what date Easter falls).
Here are some of my favorite types of decor to use for both spring and Easter.
Flowers

I know. I’m stating the obvious here. But often, I’ll choose my spring colors based on the type of Easter decor I have.
I use lots of yellows and soft greens, maybe some subtle pinks…definitely white flowers as well.

As you think about spring decor (or Easter decor – whichever you do first), think about flower colors that will coordinate with each other.
I also like to use faux flowering branches too – dogwood, forsythia, cherry blossoms….
They all work amazing well for spring and give you options if you’re going with a softer or brighter color scheme.
Greenery
Greenery is another staple to incorporate both seasons, whether is faux plants or stems. There are many wonderful choices you can use in vases or jars by themselves, such as faux boxwood greenery or silver dollar eucalyptus.
Mixing in greens with flowers always looks wonderful!
Birds and Birds’ Nest
Birds are a wonderful harbinger of spring and look fabulous for both Easter and spring. I use mini birds’ nests and ceramic birds in my decor for Easter and spring as well.
Eggs

While the colorful Easter eggs in bright colors are specifically Easter, soft colored robin’s eggs can be kept out all spring long. As above, when eggs are connected with birds or even chickens laying eggs (think of a natural woven basket filled with fresh-laid eggs in various pastel colors) are definitely spring but crossover to Easter seamlessly.
As long as the eggs speak to spring rather than the Easter Bunny, those can be kept out!
Garden Items
I love using terra cotta flower pots, moss, moss covered rocks, carrots… those again are spring garden items rather than soley Easter items.
Carrots along with a bunny lean toward Easter, but it you drop the bunny and incorporate more garden decor, it definitely works.

What About Bunnies?
This one can honestly go both ways. If your decor is clearly the Easter Bunny, then it’s for Easter only.
However, a rustic bunny mixed in with garden decor can also be used with spring. Can the bunny stand alone and be obviously Easter decor? Then you don’t want to use it beyond Easter.
If it can mix in and isn’t noticeably and ‘Easter’ bunny but more of just a ‘regular’ bunny, it can stay! Now let’s get on to those stunning front porches and their lovely Easter decorations!
