The Appeal of Rustic Farmhouse Décor
Trying to zero in on your own personal decorating style can be tricky. The trends are there, but the trends are passing.
There are so many squares on Instagram showing what your house ‘should’ look like. I’m a 100% firm believer that you do what you love in your house, trend or not.
Your house is for YOU.
When we first moved into our home a little over 2 years ago, I kind of struggled to land on a style that suited me, but I kept coming back to farmhouse, the rustic version.
If you want a run-down of what exactly is entailed in rustic décor, this post has it right here. But in a nutshell, you’re embracing the imperfect, the vintage, the nostalgia in a very earthy, natural setting.
And since Easter décor is why we are here today, let’s talk about Rustic Farmhouse Easter Décor.
Easter Decorating on a Budget
I’m all about every kind of budget-friendly decorating hack (I’ve outlined my 15 favorite ways to decorate on the cheap here), and it’s no different when it comes to Easter.
In addition to decorating my home for Easter inexpensively (you can see how I did that here), I’ve also come to love doing crafts and DIYs.
Those truly are some of the best ways to get amazing decorations for any season.
So many crafters and DIYers (and I loosely include myself in that mix) are creating knock-offs and dupes of Kirklands, Hobby Lobby, and even Pottery Barn home décor.
Many are using Dollar Tree materials, and it’s honestly so impressive what you can do with the crap stuff from Dollar Tree (here are some easy home décor projects I did using DT materials as well as some Valentine’s Day DT décor).
Today, I want to show you 30+ different crafts you can make for Easter in rustic farmhouse style.
I’ll say upfront – I’m not really into cutesy, so you won’t find a lot of that there, although you can’t fully escape it when we’re talking bunnies and eggs.
But I’ve tried to include crafts that look a little more adult and classy, so it can fit in with a broader spectrum of décor, even all across the farmhouse décor spectrum.
Let’s get started with the Easter Decoration DIYs – I know you’ll find some you love, and your biggest issue will be trying to squeeze in as many as you can. Most are easy because that’s how I roll. 🙂
