Easy and Adorable Father’s Day Craft Printable for Kids
When my boys were in preschool, I was a total sucker for an adorable craft. And, I loved doing crafts when them too. But if I’m being honest, I liked them even better if they were simple, uncomplicated, and not too messy.
If you’re kind of like me in that way, I think you’ll enjoy this craft today. This Color, Cut, and Paste Father’s Day Craft is the perfect activity for kids to show their love for Dad in a personal and creative way, without too much stress for the grown-up helping out!
With fun themed designs, children can color a special picture, cut it out, and assemble it on a background for a keepsake that is one for the scrapbooks.
It’s super easy, requires only basic supplies, and works for dads and grandpas!

How to Make the Father’s Day Craft
Supplies Needed:
- Printable Father’s Day craft pages (grab them at the END of the post)
- Printer paper (cardstock for backgrounds – optional)
- Crayons, colored pencils, or markers
- Safety scissors
- Glue stick
Instructions:
1| Print the craft pages on regular paper or cardstock. Paper is easier cutting for little hands. If you’d like, you can print the background on cardstock if you want something sturdier.
2| Color the different pieces with markers, crayons, or colored pencils.
This is where the child can make it his or her own! Don’t worry about staying in the lines – you’ll be cutting out the pieces.
And don’t forget to color the background page, too!
3| Cut out each part carefully.
Younger children might need a little assistance with this. But I’d encourage you to let them do as much as they can themselves!
4| Paste | glue the dad or grandpa together.
There are parts on the picture labeled ‘paste’ so you know exactly where each piece goes. It may also help to lay out the figure first to see where each part goes before gluing.
There’s also a printable cheat sheet that shows what the picture should look like all completed.
I recommend putting the dad or grandpa together before pasting it to the background.
5| Personalize with a sweet message or your child’s name and the date!
