Are you looking for a creative Christmas gift that you can give to friends, coworkers, neighbors, family, and just about everyone? Something that is budget-friendly, too? Take a look at these amazing Christmas candy gifts – for adults and kids! Here are 50+ of the best ideas for Christmas candy gift ideas – all of them the perfect gift for the holiday season!
Why DIY Candy Christmas Gifts are So Great
This isn’t my first rodeo with trying to come up with Christmas gift ideas that you can give out to friends, neighbors, teachers.
It can be a lot of work to try to come up with gift ideas for everyone. In the past, I’ve done Christmas Stovetop Potpourri, Mason Jar Luminaries, and an assortment from these fun lists of mason jar gifts, neighbor gifts, and even some variations of gift baskets or DIY gifts.
But as I said, these can be a lot of work.
While I’m grateful for so many people who have blessed our lives and families, I needed to streamline the gift-giving to those who aren’t my immediate family, just a little.
And that’s where making Christmas candy and giving it as a gift is such a good idea.
Let me tell you a few reasons why DIY Christmas candy gifts are so great (in case you need convincing).
Make in Bulk
Christmas candy gifts are amazing to make and give in bulk. You can make a few batches of one particular kind of candy, at one time, and you can check off just about everyone on your list. It is a fantastic bulk gift – one and done.
Budget-Friendly
Let’s face it. These days, Christmas gift giving can come with a pretty high price tag. Ingredients for Christmas candy are relatively inexpensive, and you can give these gifts out to so many people. It certainly is a frugal way to go if you’re on a tight budget.
Consumable
Have you ever received a Christmas gift from someone and kept it around just because you didn’t know what else to do with it? Me, too.
Candy gifts leave behind no clutter! They are quickly consumed, with no waste left behind. They are enjoyed in the moment, and the recipient can move on with his or her life. Perfect
Meaningful
Unique Christmas candy gifts take some time and effort to create. Look, I have nothing against giving or receiving gift cards. But making candy shows that you care enough to take time to create a special treat. It has meaning to show that you cared enough to set aside time to make a gift. It isn’t just something you clicked ‘add to cart’ on Amazon.
Works for Just about Everyone on Your List
This is a great gift to give in bulk. It’s an idea for just about everyone (outside your immediate family) that you want to give a gift to.
Bus drivers? Yes. Mailman? Sure. Teachers, coworkers, neighbors? Yes, yes, and yes. Give it anyone you know who has a sweet tooth.
Caveat: allergies are a thing these days. Be sure to do some inquiries if giving candy that contains nuts or peanut butter.
Not Christmas Cookies
Do I love Christmas cookies? Oh, yes. But I love gifting Christmas candy because it’s something different than cookies! Gifting cookies is a popular idea – and a good one! But candy is its own category and just a little more unique, in my opinion.
Corporate Gifts
I don’t mean corporate as in the work world (though Christmas candy could certainly be that), but I mean more of ‘group gifts.’ As in, you can make candy to give to the entire family, to the neighbors next door.
Of course, you can give a candy gift in a corporate environment – in a meeting room or the faculty lounge for all the teachers – but candy is a delicious gift that works for the whole group.
