Looking for Valentine’s Day DIY wreaths for your front door? Check it out here! You’ll find 30 options that are stylish and budget-friendly – many from Dollar Tree materials! This is a great way to pretty up your porch area this season!

DIY Valentine’s Day Wreath for Festive Front Door Decor

That awkward space between winter and spring decor. Enter Valentine’s Day decorations to the rescue. Sometimes, you just want a little something before you break out the pastels and decorate for spring.

Today, I’m sharing DIY wreaths you can make on a budget, for Valentine’s Day (if you’re looking for door decorations to purchase, take a look here – door hangers and wood rounds, wreaths, and door covers – for every price point!)

If you are new to DIY or just want an overview, here are some details.

How Do You Make a Wreath for Valentine’s Day?

There are many ways you can go about it, for sure. Below, you’ll see all kinds of methods, using all kinds of wreath forms: foam hearts, wire hearts, circle foam wreath forms, grapevine wreath forms – just about anything will work, depending on what kind of project you want to do. You can even take a short cut and upcycle a Dollar Tree wood heart, like I did right here.

You can make a circle wreath in Valentine’s Day colors – such as red and pink. Or you can make it a neutral color and add in Valentine’s Day embellishments like hearts, flowers, and even real flowers (which are a seamless transition to spring). You can add fun text and signs to it as well!

If you love all the heart things and want to know how to make a heart shaped wreath, you’ll see tutorials for ways to make that kind of fun wreath.

There are all types and styles of pretty wreaths you can make. You can also take advantage of winter whites or spring pastels, depending on which way you want your decor to flow.

What Materials Do I Need to Make a DIY Valentine Wreath?

This post contains affiliate links. See Disclosures for details.

Again, it will all depend on what type of wreath you are making. The first step is to get your wreath form. (Fun fact-  there are even some examples in the list that use cardboard as the back of the wreath! Cheap and easy!) You can find a wreath you like and create it, or you can decide what materials you have or want to use and find a tutorial to guide you (or make it up as you go along!).

Here are some other types of materials you may want to consider, depending on your taste:

Fabric or Paper Flowers

White, Pink, and/or Red Felt

Tissue Paper

Jute String

Burlap Ribbon

Fun Embellishments (faux flowers, wood hearts, wood slices, small signs, etc.)

Yarn

Pom Poms

Clothespins

Basically, you can use your imagination for whatever is prettiest to you! You can even think a little bit out of the box and use different colors not typically associated with Valentine’s Day. Think about what you have for your other Valentine’s Day decorations around the home and plan accordingly. You can also adapt this DIY wood bead wreath craft for Valentine’s Day!

You can take a look below at some Amazon items to stock up on before you get started! The final step once you’ve chosen your materials and wreath styles is to have fun. DIYs are meant to be creative and energizing! Enjoy the process, even if it comes out differently than the picture or what you planned.
