Christmas Cheer in the Form of a Wreath
I’m not sure about year, but this year, as far as challenges, was one for the books for me. Not sure if that’s you, too, but I feel like, maybe this year more than any other, we NEED Christmas and Christmas cheer, stat.
I know lots of people are starting to celebrate early on just because they need that positivity and something to look forward to in their lives. Sister, I get it! I’m right there with you. For that reason, I’m pushing out the Christmas posts early this year, and hoping that in getting ready for the holidays now, it can end this year on a high note.
Today I’m sharing some Christmas wreaths you can create! These DIY wreaths are easy and classy, and they all fall in the spectrum of farmhouse style! They are also budget-friendly! Store-bought wreaths can be so expensive; these wreaths are a great option when money is tight.
In the past I’ve shared fall wreaths and spring wreaths, and I’m super excited to give you some Christmas wreath inspiration by adding these to the list.
Last year, I made my own wreath out of evergreens and dried oranges and fell in love with it – you’ll see it in the list below. (You can see how it went along with the entire Christmas theme in my house right here!) You can even try a DIY wood bead wreath that’s perfect for winter as well as Christmas!
This year, I’m so excited to try a new one, and I hope you are, too!
I admit that I’m a little picky when it comes to wreaths. I like ones that are more classic and classy, versus cutesy, if that makes sense? So all the handmade Christmas wreaths you see are on the spectrum of farmhouse style, all with a touch of class. I realize taste is personal, but I hope that out of the ones I picked to share with you, you’ll find one (or more!) you love!
40+ Easy & Classy Homemade Christmas Wreaths, in Farmhouse Style
This is an easy wreath to create using a mix of various greens, some mini gold bells and a ticking stripe bow! This wreath does double duty in that you can leave it up all winter long! Perfect if you love a wreath with a vintage flair! How beautiful is this?!? If simple, minimalist, and modern is your style, add this to your list! Anytime you can make a Pottery Barn dupe for a fraction of the cost, I'm all ears. This is fantastic! There's no shortage of beaded wreath ideas, but this one has a more vintage rustic flair to it. Stems of your choice wired to a beaded form. Sim -ple. This is a simple wreath made with fresh greens. Just small bells for embellishment is all you need - stunning and classy. If you're short on time and fresh materials, you can even buy a faux wreath that's similar and decorate for a fast hack (which is what I did! You can check that out here!) If you like a little nostalgia, these dried oranges on a wreath are the way to go! This can be made with live or faux evergreens. Here's another variation using orange slices in a wreath. This has a more rustic flare, if that's more your taste than using evergreens. A simple grapevine and berry wreath is one of my most favorite looks. This never, ever goes out of style. Classic. Here's another wreath made of fresh and faux materials, to really give an old-fashioned feel to Christmas. This one attaches to a grapevine wreath, which is gorgeous. This is another one that has just a beautiful snowy, wintery feel. Flocked greens, berries, and eucalyptus (my favorite!) on a grapevine wreath. Love it. I love that this one is made from a hula hoop! Yes, you read that right! And of course, I'm loving the eucalyptus on this one. So creative! If you are looking for more options to use materials from a nature for a wreath, this is a wonderful option using twigs! This one transitions nicely to a winter wreath after Christmas as well! I love the wintery look of this one! It is super-easy to transfer this to winter decor after Christmas. The post also gives 2 other ways to style a wreath like this. Here's another spin on a snowy wreath - with a mini winter woodland scene! Such a fun way to use bottlebrush trees. For a real woodland rustic look, how about some pinecones and antlers? This is just a simple green wreath with embellishments glued in! Pretty genius! I'm a big fan of these beaded wreaths. Use whatever Christmas stems you like to make this your own. I'm really loving the romantic look of flowers on this Christmas wreath. Rag wreaths have been around for a while (I even made a neutral one for fall!,) but I just love the old fashioned look for Christmas. The ticking stripe really gives it that nostalgic feel. This wreath looks great both indoor and outdoors! This is a fun take on a wreath, as it's not your traditional circle. The star only makes it more festive! Look at this beauty, made with felt leaves! Just love the clean and simple look of this one! This is so simple and so gorgeous! Magnolia leaves are on-trend, and just a few gold leaves makes it festive and stylish. You don't need a lot to pack a punch. I really like the neutral colors of the burlap and stripes in this wreath. This is a great choice if you're not wanting a lot of red for your Christmas decor. Wood slices are perfect for a rustic farmhouse look. It's super-easy to add in the winter greens for a really charming Christmas wreath. If your farmhouse style leans more rustic than modern, I think you'll love this wine barrel ring wreath! Less is truly more here, and it has that simple, vintage Christmas vibe, for sure! This is a real fun way to create an embroidery hoop wreath! Hanging a little something down from the middle really sets this apart. I just love the minimalist look of this embroidery hoop wreath. Simple and classy. Not only are embroidery hoops clever ideas for wreaths, but you can actually use the whole embroidery design for a wreath. Love this one. If you like to put some fun pom poms, trees, and other cute items on your wreath, this is unique and adorable. If you're looking for another cozy yarn wreath, I just LOVE this chunky braided wreath. It is SOOOO cozy. Another great wreath that you can keep around after Christmas. How fun is this?!? I just love the classic black and white any time of year, really. This works perfect for Christmas as well. Book paper crafts are some of my favorite, and this is a real creative way to use the for a wreath. You can use this concept for wreaths for other seasons as well. And yet another one you can keep around after Christmas, too! Moss isn't just for spring! But if you wanted, change out the top and use it for spring as well! I genuinely adore the simple elegance for this wreath. And it's so simple to make with olive branches! Love, love, love this one. If you love wreath with a nostalgic feel and you love a good dupe, Anthropologie no less- check out this beautiful one from Liz Marie! All of the vintage charm! A white Christmas is what everyone is hoping for - if you can't get it in real life, this gorgeous wreath is a close second! Is this not sooo impressive?!? If you've been wanting a huge wreath for Christmas but are at a loss of where to start, definitely head over to check this gorgeous rustic wreath! I love how this basic wreath has been elevated by the wonderful metallic elements! Some ribbon, stars, and an angel - and it's a brand new wreath! If you love wood rounds for doors but want something a little more unique, I love using an embroidery hoop with some gorgeous tartan fabric behind int! This is so festive and lovely! Here's another wreath that uses plaid fabric in its design. I love the traditional feel of this wreath mixed with the rustic elements. Holiday berries are so quintessentially Christmas! And I love that this is made from Dollar Tree materials! Inexpensive and gorgeous and a wonderful touch of nature! This wreath is gorgeous and cozy and all kinds of warm Christmas vibes! I love this one especially because you can leave this up all winter long! I love this one! If you mixing real and faux greens, take a look here! And how stunning with those dramatic black bells! Just love it! This wreath was an upcycle thift store wreath where I just added some greens and embellishments from Hobby Lobby! Sooo cheap and easy to make and I just love how it turned out!
